Professional Career
Dr. Yeh is a Professor of Radiology in the Abdominal Imaging section at the University of California – San Francisco. He directs the Contrast and CT Research lab at UCSF which explores novel contrast-enhanced imaging techniques for CT, dual energy CT, and MR imaging. Ongoing projects include the development and testing of novel CT and MR contrast materials, bowel imaging, fibrosis imaging, assessment of contrast material distribution in healthy and diseased tissues, and oncologic imaging. His research group is recognized for mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, including visiting research fellows, and visiting faculty. Dr. Yeh has been the Principal Investigator of five NIH grants totaling over $18M in funding for the development of new CT contrast agents. Dr. Yeh has five patents pending on novel contrast agents, and founded the startup company Nextrast to translate next-generation CT contrast agents for medical imaging.
Dr. Yeh is active in the Society of Abdominal Radiology where he founded and continues to coordinate the annual Dual Energy CT Hands On Course and the Quantitative Diffuse Liver Disease Hands On Course. He chairs the American College of Radiology Abdominal Practice Parameters Committee. Previously, Dr. Yeh chaired the Radiological Society of North America Gastrointestinal Scientific Session Program Committee and the American Roentgen Ray Society Gastrointestinal and Genitourinary Scientific Program Committee. -
